Draft Diamonds Prospect Interview: Tyler Davis, CB, Missouri Valley

Tyler DavisDraft Diamonds Prospect Interview: Tyler Davis, CB, Missouri Valley College

How many teams were recruiting you out of high school?

Where did you choose and why?

Chose Missouri Valley College because they had a lot of prestige in the program, I liked the coaches, and the style of football they ran.

What were your goals for your senior year?

3 peat the conference and Win the national title.

Have any scouts met with you, and if so what are they saying?

I haven’t really spoken to any scouts myself my agent has, but i had a workout with the rams last week.

At your position, what separates you from the others?

My ability to play man coverage and play the ball.  I have very soft hands.

Tell us what you look for when breaking down film?

Any little critiques in my game, footwork, any patterns or tells in the opponents game.

Who was the toughest player you have ever faced?

If you could compare your play to one person in the NFL who would it be?

A mix of Richard Sherman, Aqib Talib, and Dominque Rogers-Cromartie

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

The death of my grandmother. Faith, Prosperity, and Prayer

What system fits your style of play the best?

What is your biggest strength?

Ball Skills and Awareness, determination, drive

What is your biggest weakness?

The fear of failure

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

All these accolades coming from a small school, seeing the caliber of play that I have, you can see that I can play at the next level.  I can only get better, I can only go up from here. I play at or at a higher level than some of these D1 guys in the draft and they have had a better chance than I have, giving what I have done and where Im coming from, the sky is the limit.

Growing up, who was your role model?

My father

Who was your favorite team and player in the NFL and why?

Oakland Raiders, My father, played for them. Clarence Davis

If you were to have dinner with three people dead or alive who would it be?

Obama, Tupac, Jack Tatum (my god father)

With your first paycheck what would you buy?

Pay off my student loans
