NFL Draft Diamonds Top 5 2014 draftable quarterbacks

Everyone has their own opinions when it comes to the NFL and quarterbacks, but I have personally watched all the draft eligible quarterbacks play and here is my list of the top quarterbacks that could come out and where I project them to land.

1st – Marcus Mariota – Oregon quarterbacks are not the best in the NFL, but this kid is special. I have watched enough of this kid to see NFL written all over him. The new NFL displays quarterbacks that can both run and pass the ball. Mariota is the best in the NCAA at doing it. I project him as a top 5 pick and likely to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

2nd – Teddy Bridgewater – Louisville’s amazing quarteback has been quite the addition. He is a very solid passer and I think a team will fall in love with him, minus the upset to UCF. I see him as a top 5 quarterback as well, but I have him going to the Minnesota Vikings.

3rd – Bret Hundley – UCLA’s Hundley connected on more than 66 percent of his throws, with an impressive 29:11 touchdown-to-interception ratio that reflects his careful decision-making from the pocket last year. This year he is at it again, and I feel he will be a very strong draft pick at the middle of the first round. I have him mid first to the St. Louis Rams.

4th – Tajh Boyd – Clemson’s dynamic quarterback has lost a few pounds this year and it has shown. He looks lighter on his feet and has been able to make some great plays at the quarterback position. I see Boyd going in the beginning of the second round to the Cleveland Browns.

5th – Johnny Manziel – Johnny Football has been pretty impressive again this year, and while I feel he would fall further down the boards, he has actually moved up a little. I have him going at the end of the second round to the Houston Texans who traded up to get him. They drafted him to compete with Case Keenum and to help fill up Reliant Stadium, because Johnny Football in Texas sells.
