Steelers RB Le’Veon Bell donated 750k dollars to his high school to install turf
Le’Veon Bell just donated 750 thousand dollars to his high school Groveport Madison where he played football, basketball and ran track from 2006-09.
In addition to the large gift, Bell is setting up “Bell’s Boys Initiatives”. This will help young children be show better sportsmanship. Because of the amazing donation, the field known as Cruiser Field will now be named Le’Veon Bell Field.
“This is an incredible gift to the Groveport Madison Schools community,” said Superintendent Bruce Hoover, via ABC6. “Le’Veon and his mother, Lisa, give credit to many people at GMHS, most particularly to coach Bryan Schoonover, for helping Le’Veon during his high school years. This gift speaks to the power of strong, trusting relationships between our students and staff. It also demonstrates the power and connection between our schools and our alumni – and what it means to be a Cruiser.”
