NFL Draft Diamonds Prospect Interview: Robert Harding, SS, Arizona Christian

What is your name?

Robert Harding III

What is your Height/Weight?

6’4 200 pounds

What is your position?

Strong Safety

Where do you play college football?

Arizona Christian University

Where are you from?

Lakewood, California

Who is your role model, and why?

My older sister Ashley. She taught me how to be a strong young man and instilled skills in me that my father was not around to teach me. She is where I get my toughness from; it was just her and my mom.

Who was your favorite teacher?

My 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Ober at Ernie Pyle Elementary. A wonderful and impactful lady.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

I played basketball, NJB/AAU.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

Josh Perkins, TE for the Atlanta Falcons. We went to the same high school and having to face him everyday at practice our senior year was intense.

Who is the most underrated player on your team?

Jamorien Hill. He was one of my corner backs. He’s a dog and should be given the right opportunity.

What is the one song that would fire you up before the biggest game of your life?

Ultralight Beam – Kanye West

Now or Never – Kendrick Lamar

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

Jalen Ramsey – The bully-like mentality him and I bring onto the field is not a teachable talent, its embedded in our veins. Our passion of play breeds out from the heart. It’s IN us, not on us.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

Coming home from my first university for personal reasons, having to get a job to support my family and I while still trying to find another school to finish my college career. I told myself to make sacrifices now that my family and I will benefit from in the future, for everything we went through will all be worth it in the end.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

Listen to music and taking time to myself to reflect on my past and how far I’ve came. It helps me to realize how blessed I am to even have made it this far with dreams of making it even further into the professional league.

What was the most memorable play of your collegiate career?

An interception I got early in the first quarter to set the momentum against our conference rivals Langston university. It was also my first Career interception, which also made it so memorable.

What is the coolest thing you ever did off the field for someone else?

I participated in a Feed the children event and we helped pack over 1,000 food plates and sent them over to Cambodia for the kids. I love helping out the youth any way I can. I was once in their shoes so it makes me feel good to help out.

Who was your favorite NFL team growing up?

Cowboys, by default. That’s all I seen growing up.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, whom would you choose?

Jesus, Sean Taylor, and my mom.
