Redskins sign safety Phillip Thomas from P/S; Waive DE Geathers
Washington Redskins signed safety Phillip Thomas off their practice squad and cut Clifton Geathers in a corresponding move.

The redskins will sign Phillip Thomas to the active roster per source.
Thomas is a former fourth-round pick of the Redskins that missed his entire rookie season with a Lisfranc fracture and was waived at final cuts this season. He is expected to make his NFL debut on Sunday.
Geathers recorded six tackles and zero sacks in 93 snaps for Washington this season.
