People are donating to help former NFL player charged with 8 counts of rape
Former Detroit Lions team member and Oklahoma City Police Officer Daniel Holtzclaw has received over $7,000 in donations on his “Justice For Daniel Holtzclaw” after being accused of raping eight Black women while on duty.
The 27 year old cop is facing charges of rape, sodomy, sexual battery and indecent exposure. Prosecutors say that Holtzclaw allegedly stopped at least eight women between the ages of 34 and 58, all of whom were Black, “and threatened to arrest them or physically harm them unless they exposed themselves, allowed him to fondle them or had sex with him,” according to prosecutors.
The three-year veteran of the force is being held under a $5 million bond. His page, which was started by Holtzclaw’s sister, is requesting $100K as the goal, however, they have already raised $7,390 to date.
