Patriots head coach has major praise for Bills rookie WR Sammy Watkins
The first-round wideout had his biggest output in three weeks during Sunday’s win over the Lions, hauling in seven catches for 87 yards. His finest handiwork came during Bufffalo’s game-winning drive, which saw Watkins acrobatically tip a high Orton pass to himself, pull it out of the air and take it 20 yards into Detroit territory.
Bill Belichick, whose Patriots face Watkins and the Bills on Sunday, called the play “Larry Fitzgerald-like” during his Wednesday session with the media.
This week the AFC East leading Buffalo Bills will be at home taking on the New England Patriots and Bill Belichick. The Bills defense has been pretty solid this year and if they can get to Tom Brady early and often, the team might be 1-0 against the Patriots under new owner Terry Pegula who was given the right by the other NFL owners to buy the Bills this morning.
