Osi Umenyiora claims the texts about his side chick were nothing but an unstable “man”
Yesterday, we published a story about a person on Instagram who showed text messages supposedly showing that she had a relationship with Free Agent defensive end Osi Umenyiora. Osi claims the text messages were bogus, and someone just trying to ruin a relationship.
That statement caused my eyebrows to raise, because I’m part of the NFL media and I had seen nothing of this story that was supposedly “all over the media.” The statement then sent me to Google News, where I found . . . nothing. Not a single one of those lies “all over the media” came up on a Google News search of Umenyiora’s name.
Eventually I found out that a few sites have, in fact, recently published a rumor about Umenyiora texting “I love you” to a woman other than his new wife. Scandal! To the tiny number of people who care about Osi Umenyiora’s love life.
Umenyiora says the texts are bogus and the source of the texts was an “unstable” man who was trying to “discredit” Umenyiora’s recent wedding to 2011 Miss Universe Leila Lopes.
I am not sure who to believe, but if they are true I am sure something else will pop up in the media.
