Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

Going to Inter Mountain Children’s Hospital and spending time with sick children and their families and working as a summer camp coach and counselor. Both gave me the opportunity to meet, interact, and try to impact the lives of kids (which is important to me).

Enumclaw, WA

Who is your role model, and why?

Russell Wilson. He’s a great athlete, better person, and he stands true to his values even though he is surrounded by fame. He never lets it get to his head. He is an amazing leader and I’d love to play with him.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Yes, baseball, basketball and soccer.

Did you play any other positions in football?

Tight End

At your position, what separates you from others?

Football IQ, drive, hands, catching ability, high pointing the ball and being physical and using my body to out leverage the defender.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

I look to exploit the weaknesses in the defense (man/zone), then I try to use my understanding of my position (strengths/weaknesses) in the play that would work best. I also try to recognize tendencies that the defense gives away so that when it comes to game time I’d have already familiarized myself with my opponent and what they do.

Terren
Terenn Houk is a big play maker!

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

Larry Fitzgerald because he’s a dependable bigger receiver that outworks his opponent and is consistent in making plays.

Going to BYU as a non-LDS student/athlete.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

Yes. I listen to Taylor Swift and then say a prayer.

What is your biggest strength?

No one is going to outwork me.

What is your biggest weakness?

At times I can be my own worst enemy.

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

If you want a dependable playmaker on your team who will help you win games and won’t let anyone outwork him, then I’m your guy. Watch my film.
