NFL Draft Diamonds and our staff have been bringing our readers Prospect Interviews over the past 2 years and this year we mixed up the questions and added some fun questions for our readers. Tight End

Where do you play college football?

North Dakota State University

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

All of the community involvement we do as a team, things like Eat Smart Play Hard with local elementary schools and the Special Olympics volunteering.

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Organic Chemistry

Where are you from?

Iola, WI

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Anything and everything, anything that was competitive I was doing it.

Did you play any other positions in football?

HS I played DE and some QB.

At your position, what separates you from others?

Big bodied dude with ball skills, also all around knowledge of the game. 

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

Blitz identifiers, coverage tendencies, also technique tendencies.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

Former teammate Kyle Emmauel (Chargers) everyday for 4 years.

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

Jason Witten. Similar styles of play.

lucas1What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

Consistently overcoming that “small school” tag since HS.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

Many, those stay personal though.

What is your biggest strength?

Ball skills and getting my big body down the field, also route running.

What is your biggest weakness?

Sustaining blocks.

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

Competitor and a winner.

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

Brett Favre, the Silver Fox! Being a Sconnie boy I grew up a cheesehead.

What will be the first big item you buy once you are in the NFL?

Make sure the fam and all those who have helped me is set before anything for myself.
