Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

I was a volunteer basketball coach at Nazarene Church for the youth.

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take? 

College algebra

Where are you from? 

Chicago, IL

Who is your role model, and why?  

My parents, they taught me great work ethic and discipline. I watched them never miss a day at work.

Did you play any other sports growing up?  

Basketball & Baseball

Did you play any other positions in football?  

I played DT in high school 

At your position, what separates you from others?  

I’m an elite mauler in the run game.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for? 

I’m looking for what DLmen gets off the line the quickest. I’m asking myself.   Does the DL tilted to show you when they twist their favorite move?. Are they a reader or are they physical at the point of the attack? What’s their favorite pass rush move?. Does their stance stay the same when they play vs the run and pass?. Do they put a certain hand down in situations LB? Do they come downhill?.. How they play the run?  Are they quick .and do they take on blocks? What tendency do they show when they blitz? Do they make certain signals to tell DL where they going for example do they tap the hip or any hand gestures? What foot do they usually step with first?. What moves do they work?

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?  

Davis Tull, Tennessee-Chattanooga 

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why? 

Jabari Evans – a small school guy who beat the odds and is very physical 

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

Sat out football for two years and bounced back stronger than ever 2010-2012. I worked hard to get back in football shape and was working in the meantime.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

Sunflower seeds and complete quiet no music. 

What is your biggest strength?

Run blocking

Need to continue tuning up pass pro.

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

I would say, Sir you’re getting a lunch pail lineman who’s going to work hard every day. A God fearing man. My passion runs deep for this game and you would be getting a beast. 

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?  

Monsters of the Midway… DA Bears! My whole family is Chicago bears fans and that’s how it’s always been.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would, you choose? 

Reggie White, Jonathan Ogden and Art Shell

What will be the first big item you buy once you are in the NFL?

My parents a house
