Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

I think the coolest thing that I was able to be involved in was spending time with the special education classes in the community. The kids looked forward to seeing me every week and I looked forward to seeing them as well.

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Anatomy and Physiology

Where are you from?

Humble, TX

Who is your role model, and why?

My father, because he ensures that his family and those around him are well taken care of.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Yes. I played basketball and ran track.

Did you play any other positions in football?

I’ve played every position at one point in my life except for defensive tackle and offensive line.

At your position, what separates you from others?

The chip on my shoulder. I always feel like the underdog and I think having that chip on my shoulder has led to a high level of play and a healthy work ethic.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

Opponent Scout: The type of fronts teams like to use, the coverages they like to run, blitz looks and frequencies, and tendencies of individual defenders.Self Scout: Footwork, foot placement, where my eyes are located, ball placement, anticipation on timing routes, and decisions based on coverage/front/blitz etc.

Ethan Westbrooks

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

In regards to build and athletic potential, former Eagles quarterback, Randall Cunningham

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

Not a “ritual,” but I anoint myself with anointing oil prior to every game.

As a small school football player what obstacles do you feel you have to overcome?

The perceived level of competition at the D2 level and being overlooked due to lack of notoriety.

What is your biggest strength?

Instincts.

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

I’ll need more than a second.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

My deceased grandparents.

What will be the first big item you buy once you are in the NFL?
