Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

Every year I participated as a kickball coach for a special Olympic organization.

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Quantitative Methods in Business 2

Where are you from?

Riverside, CA

Who is your role model, and why?

My mother, raised 3 boys and a girl by herself. Showed me that if want, something you have work for it.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Basketball

Did you play any other positions in football?

All 5 on the line

At your position, what separates you from others?

I feel that my ability to get to the out side on a pull and get the block. Also, shut down a rusher in pass pro is one of my big strengths

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

I usually breakdown film in 3 ways, I start with looking for blitz keys, D-line stunt keys and then the interior guys favorite moves.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

A DT from Southern Miss Rakeem Nunez-Roches

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

I would say Matt Khalil from Carolina. We are about the say size and lengths and he can gets out the to edge easily and get the block.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

Probably realizing that I may not play football again after not receiving any offers out of high school. I made the decision to give up a grant to attend San Jose St. for Aerospace engineering. I decided to go to a local Junior College to give football another try.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

Every game, I say a little prayer to a high school teammate that pass my senior year.

What is your biggest strength?

I’d say my athletic ability and my cerebral approach to the game

What is your biggest weakness?

At the second level, I tend to shoot hands wide when latching and running my feet.

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

All I can ask for is a shot and I will not disappoint. I am very coachable and have the will to succeed in anything I set my sights on.

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

In High school I was able to play with LT Tyron Smith, he was a senior and I was a freshman and watching him work out hard after school and on the field and the success he was having at USC and with the Cowboys. Truly showed me that hard work pays off.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

Steve Jobs,Warren Buffet and Oprah.

What will be the first big item you buy once you are in the NFL?

I got a check book when I was little and I wrote my Mom a check to go by her a car and a few other things, so I would like to cash the checks for her.
