Dallas Jackson

5’9/ 188lbs

What is your position?

SS/N/CB

Where do you play college football?

Jacksonville University

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

I believe the coolest thing I’ve gotten to do is read books to elementary school kids and actually having to act out what’s going on in the book to make it fun for the kids. I’ve also mentored young kids and still do till this day I’m the oldest of 7 so I’m kinda of a natural leader.

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Statistics

Where are you from?

Bradenton, Florida

Who is your role model, and why?

My parents because they are good hard working parents they are the ones who raised me and have been there with me throughout my entire life and nothing will ever bring us apart.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

I played basketball, baseball, track,soccer,taekwondo,

Did you play any other positions in football?

I played Quarterback in little league and high school but I realized I wasn’t going to be six foot so I came to reality early and went to the darkside.

At your position, what separates you from others?

I’m a leader that can communicate, I’m versatile I can play all three positions in the secondary, I have elite ball skills and feet, and I’m a nasty competitor.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

I look for certain tendencies the quarterback has and who the best player is and how they like to get him the ball. I also look for what teams like to do on certain down and distance and what they like to run in certain situations.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

Dante Cherry from the University of Delaware he’s a shifty guy and was fun to guard because we play a lot of man to man coverage.

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

Charles Woodson because of the ball skills and the play making ability from all over the field.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

Just being counted out and basically being the underdog my whole life and coming out of the environment that I came out of. Not too many people make it out where I’m from.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

I always pray before every game.

As a small school football player what obstacles do you feel you have to overcome?

The competition level because we’re not playing the higher level teams so we sometimes get questioned about handling that transition to the NFL.

What is your biggest strength?

Ball skills and feet

What is your biggest weakness?

It would be tackling but not necessarily a weakness because I didn’t play safety until my junior year in college so my tackling has improved just not where it needs to be.

dallasIf I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

I would say I’m a explosive playmaker that has a nose for the football and will make plays within the system and continue to get better every year. Also you would be getting a great leader on and off the field that would be beneficial for your organization for a very long time.

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

My favorite player was Sean Taylor and my favorite team is the Dallas Cowboys.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

Tupac, Jesus, Martin Luther King

With your first NFL paycheck what would you buy?

I’ll probably get ah few things and put most of it up.
