Where do you play college football? 

Oklahoma Sooners

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

Going to visit children that have cancer at the hospital and signing autographs for them

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Math was my hardest class

Where are you from?

I’m from New Orleans Louisiana

Who is your role model, and why?

My dad is my role model he been there since day 1. He helped me get over a lot of humps in my life and I overcame a lot of things with my Pops in my life. I love him to death

Did you play any other sports growing up? 

Basketball is my second love, I also ran track

Did you play any other positions in football?

CB,FS

At your position, what separates you from others?

I’m a 6,2 210 pound corner back that can run and Cover pretty well 

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

I look to see if they a spread team or smash mouth football. I look to see what their favorite personnel is and I would see who is their favorite guy to go to. I also look to see how often they throw the ball and his alignment on every route so you could have some ideas of what might be coming.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

Probably Tyler Lockett  

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

Patrick Peterson because of the size and physicality we bring and we are both about competing against the best. 

cortez 1What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

Losing one of my best friends that also played college football for Louisiana Tech. He suffered a heart attack and I overcame it by just grinding even harder. I know that what he would be with now, so I am chasing both of our dreams and I won’t stop until I accomplish it.

Do you have any pre-game rituals? 

I run to the end zone thank God for everything and then get in my zone.

What is your biggest strength?

I’m very physical with great ball skills and I bring a great size to the position 

What is your biggest weakness?

Staying low sometimes

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say? 

I would say you are getting a guy who is loyal, hard working, and dedicated to this game. I will do anything to win if I was granted the opportunity. 

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up? 

Charles Woodson because he can play any position in the secondary and he dominated. He is also a great leader and I was a Saints fan growing up. We were not very good but I love my city.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose? 

Lebron James, Charles Woodson, and My GrandDad

What will be the first big item you buy once you are in the NFL?

My mom a house
