Myles Garrett says he cannot be a savior
First overall draft picks have a huge weight before they even suit up. Myles Garrett was labeled as the best player in the draft about six months before the Browns selected him. Now that he is in the NFL, Myles Garrett wanted to be very clear that one person cannot salvage an entire team.
“One person can’t win games. It takes a culmination of all these guys coming together and just having the attitude that we’re not going to lose,” Garrett said, via NFL.com. “And that’s what we’re going to do. I can’t be a savior.”
“But I can be the best I can be,” Garrett continued. ” I can give it my all and make plays and dominate my side of the field, but it takes all 11 guys with a certain thought process that we’re going to go out there and we’re going to win.”
This is great to see, because he is right. Garrett will be one of many pieces to help get the Browns record turned around, but he cannot do it alone.
