Minnesota Vikings lock down running back Matt Asiata who could become #2 back
Today the Minnesota Vikings re-signed exclusive rights free agent RB Matt Asiata, who seemed to be a very valuable pick up for the Vikings. Asiata rushed for 51 yards and three touchdowns on 30 carries in Week 15 against the Eagles before rumbling for 115 yards in the finale.
With Toby Gerhart a free agent, Asiata could climb the depth chart and become the No. 2.
I would not be surprised to see Matt Asiata to get a load of the carries this preseason, with Adrian Peterson coming off a groin injury which required surgery.
