Michigan’s Athletic Director is resigning from his position today
Michigan football is not the same, and today Dave Brandon the teams Athletic Director is resigning. The school has scheduled at 1:30 p.m. ET news conference, and various media reports have Brandon stepping down.
Brandon, 62, has been the AD since 2010. He is a Michigan alum and was the chairman of the board of Domino’s Pizza when he was hired by Michigan.
He hired Brady Hoke as football coach, and Hoke definitely is on the hot seat. The timing of Brandon’s resignation could throw the expected Michigan coaching search into turmoil, as it would be difficult to hire a new coach without that coach knowing who his boss would be.
