Michael Sam signing with Dallas has Jerry Jones written all over it
We all know that the Dallas Cowboys are famous for making money especially with the owner Jerry Jones who’s never shied away from being honest about his money situation. We also know that Jerry Jones was adamant about adding Johnny Manziel earlier this season.
Well Jerry Jones does not let many opportunities pass them by especially when it comes to filli g his stadium and selling jerseys. So today, an opportunity arose that had Jerry Jones thinking money and attention, and that was Michael Sam. Today the Dallas Cowboys announced that they signed the first openly gay football player to the teams practice squad.
This has money symbols written all over it. So we know where there are money symbols, Jerry Jones is close by.
While people are saying it is a football move, let’s be honest how many jersey’s will Sam sell? He was second to only Johnny Manziel in jersey sales for a rookie. Now let him play for the most beloved fan base in the United States?
Oh my this is a Gold mine as a business person, especially considering the Cowboys have probably made more in hour in publicity and jersey salsa than Sam will be paid (100,000 dollars for 17 weeks).
If I am a business man, which I am; I would have done the same thing. Smart move Dallas.
