What is your name?

Marquice O’Leary

What is your Height/Weight?

5’11 200lbs

What is your position?

Safety (Nickle, Free, & Strong)

Where do you play college football?

Prairie View A&M University

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

Organizing a Christmas event for elementary schools and seeing their reactions when Santa was presented, was the coolest thing I’ve done off the field

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Statistics was a headache for me. I passed with a C+, didn’t really gain anything from the class that can help me in everyday life. I can count money though.

Where are you from?

Fontana, California. Born and raised

Who is your role model, and why?

Eric Weddle is my role model. The guy continues to be a pro-bowl selection. Just a smart football player. He reminds me a lot of myself. Not to mention, he’s also from Fontana, California.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Basketball was my first love, I also ran track growing up.

Did you play any other positions in football?

My first position was Running Back in high school. I later switched to defensive when I realized being a target for 11 guys every play wasn’t very fun for me.

At your position, what separates you from others?

My football IQ. Playing safety is like playing Quarterback on defense. You have to get guys aligned properly and understand what the offensive is trying to achieve.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

I look to see how quickly a player can get in and out of his break. When I watch receivers, I look for tendencies such as, does he drop his hips when he runs a comeback route. Stuff like that. Not to mention understanding situational football.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

Chester Rogers was a really good player for Grambling last year.

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

I recently stated Eric Weddle. We also share the same number, 32, and hometown.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

Not becoming discouraged after tearing a MCL senior year in high school. It was tough learning experience for me. Thought me how to be patient, persistent, and also tested my faith. I could say I defiantly overcame that obstacle and prospered throughout that situation.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

I just talk to god and my teammates about the game. Sometimes listening to music changes my thoughts and alters my mind, straying away from envisioning football plays being made. When I laugh and have fun before the game, I play a lot better.

What is your biggest strength?

My experience and knowledge of the game.

What is your biggest weakness?

Honestly, I have a lot of weaknesses; my game is far from complete. That is why I wake up every day, pray, and work to become the best me.

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

I can help you win and make money, without damaging your organization reputation; due to off the field issues.

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

My favorite team is the LA Chargers. My favorite player is Weddle and Tyrann Mathieu

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

M.L. King, Obama, and Beyoncé. Jay-z can’t come lol

What will be the first big item you buy once you are in the NFL?

A beach condo, I love the water! Either in Miami or San Diego.nAlso, I would pay off all of my family and loved ones student loans/debt
