Lions cut LB Greenwood; Sign DB to replace him
Today the Detroit Lions released Cory Greenwood and signed defensive back Nate Ness.

As for Ness, he’s been in the NFL since 2009. He began his career as an undrafted free agent out of Arizona, and he’s spent time with several teams, including the Miami Dolphins, Seattle Seahawks, St. Louis Rams and, most recently, Carolina Panthers.
