Illinois State University

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done
off the field? 

The coolest thing that I have done off the filed would have to be volunteering at the local elementary schools.  

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take? 

Agriculture

Where are you from?

Lombard, IL

Who is your role model, and why? 

My Mother, Growing up she made a lot of sacrifices in order for my sister and I to have a good life. 

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Basketball, Track and Filed

Did you play any other positions in football? 

Center

At your position, what separates you from others?

My strength and explosiveness off the ball

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

I mainly look for what defenders like to do when it comes to pass rush and how they position there bodies against the run game. Also I like to watch the tempo of my opponents and how they position there bodies if they plan on doing some type of twist.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced? 

Xavier Williams

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

Mike Iupati, the reason why is because he’s a very physical guy who establish his self in the run game and also in the pass game. He’s the type guy who will battle with anyone for 4 quarters and do whatever it takes for his team to come out with a W.   

Do you have any pre-game rituals? 

Listen to music, stretch, visualize plays on the filed  

As a small school football player what obstacles do you feel you have to overcome?

Getting your name out there, at a smaller school we don’t get a lot of looks through the year  (through Media) so really need to make a name for yourself if you want people to know about you and take advantage of those opportunities that you get to have.

What is your biggest strength? 

Being physical and understanding the Run/Pass game

Being able to sit down low in my stances during the pass game.  

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

I would say that I am a very hard worker who wont let a day get pass without getting better. Also I am a type of guy that will represent this team and community in the right way, I’m not the type of guy who will jeopardize this opportunity  to play for this team.

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up? My have NFL team would have to be the New York Giants

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

Tupac, Kanye West, Ray Lewis

With your first NFL paycheck what would you buy?

With my first paycheck, I would use the money to give back to my family that help me become the man that I am today.
