Valdosta State University

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

I was able to go to Birmingham, Alabama this past summer by being a part of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee at my institution. We went to St. Vincent’s hospital to spend time with the children that were there to get their mind off of everything else.

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

History

Where are you from?

Born and raised in Valdosta. I lived in Miami, Fla for five years.

Who is your role model, and why?

My mom would have to be my role model. She puts our family before herself at all times and that takes a strong character to do. Her hard work is a reason why I give my greatest effort.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

I played basketball my whole life. As well as soccer, baseball, and I ran track at a certain time. I played football through middle school and started back playing my senior year of high school.

Did you play any other positions in football?

I played wide receiver.

At your position, what separates you from others?

My fast pace of learning, sense of urgency, field awareness, and consistency separates me from other players.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

Consistent tendencies of the opposing players, go-to guys, signals, and an obvious cadence before the snap. Look at receivers stemming, splits, and where they sit down on certain routes.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

WR from Delta State my sophomore year, Casey Osborne

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

Tyrann Mathieu, he plays multiple positions and he plays bigger than he’s listed on the roster. You can only respect his game.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

My biggest obstacle I had to overcome is realizing the passing of my father. To overcome that hard time of grieving, I grew closer with God and understood his plans for all of us living.

kennyDo you have any pre-game rituals?

On game day I call my mom just to talk but I text her right before to say “I love you.” Before I run on the field I touch my chest and point up for my Dad.

What is your biggest strength?

I can learn new things without having bad habits.

What is your biggest weakness?

Staying low and fluent

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

I’m used to having new coaches and with that comes different things to get used to. Personalities, plays, and a new system. Joining your organization will not be a change for me but yet another home.

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

Miami Dolphins and Champ Bailey

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

Dad, Justin, Lebron

What will be the first big item you buy once you are in the NFL?

A Bugatti, and my mom a house
