NFL Prospect Analysis: Kemoko Turay, OLB, Rutgers

Kemoko Turay is an extremely fiery edge defender with the desired traits of an NFL pass rusher. Turay covers his area effectively and pounces on ball carriers in the open field, he also possesses sudden lateral quickness which helps him disrupt the gaps effectively. He is very good at crashing down the line and closing down back-side lanes on stretch plays, and he rarely misses tackles. His strong ability to chase and finish as a tackler will unequivocally translate to the NFL right away. He has a potent bull rush and plays with relentless effort. Turay could certainly be used as a 4-3 defensive end, but I see him being used primarily as a 3-4 stand-up rusher in the outside linebacker spot. His lengthiness and mirroring capabilities help him tremendously in coverage. Kemoko Turay is a very exciting prospect for many teams, I see him being drafted in rounds 2-3.
