Jets Vick admits he is getting “OLD”, but says he needs to slow down to win
Michael Vick is a very solid quarterback that you have to respect when he is on the field because of what he can do. When Michael Vick came out of Virginia Tech he was one of the most electrifying quarterbacks to ever step on a football field. Well this week Vick said he needs to slow down a little bit, because he is no longer that young buck.
“Last week, I got too greedy,” Vick said Wednesday, 48 hours after he was named to replace Smith. “I was trying to play like a 24-year-old Mike Vick. … You’ve got to play with some type of control.”
Vick, 34, committed three turnovers in three quarters last week, but the desperate Jets are trying to rally around him. Such is the state of their quarterback position. If Vick can get into a rhythm the Jets could pull off a win, but they will have to beat his former head coach Andy Reid and the top ranked Chiefs defense.
