If Buffalo Bills do not tag Jairus Byrd, expect him to walk in free agency

The way it is looking right now is the only way that the former Pro Bowler Jairus Byrd looks to be staying in Buffalo is if the franchise uses their franchise tag on him once again.  I would not be surprised if Doug Whaley and company make Jairus a nice contract offer, but the way it is looking is Jairus does not want to be in Buffalo.

I am being told that after last year’s hold out between Buffalo and Byrd, there was some bad blood.  Byrd obviously was upset, and took six weeks to heal from his foot injury.  While Byrd is a very solid player, the Buffalo Bills might be forced to go in a different direction.  If the Bills do not use the Franchise Tag on Byrd, I would highly expect him to walk via free agency.  Byrd will have plenty of offers on the table from other teams, and will probably get paid outside of Buffalo.  Buffalo could make an amazing offer to Byrd, but at the end of the day, it will be up to Byrd to sign that deal. I am thinking that this might be the last of Jairus Byrd in Buffalo unless he is tagged.
