Four players I believe are MVP candidates….Who is your MVP so far?
1. DeMarco Murray – RB – Dallas Cowboys
DeMarco Murray leads the NFL with 785 rushing yards. That is 243 more than the league’s No. 2 rusher, Pittsburgh’s Le’Veon Bell. Murray is on pace to run for 2,093 yards this year, which would be the third-best single-season total in NFL history.
2. Philip Rivers – QB – San Diego Chargers
The Chargers are 5-1 and lead Manning’s Broncos in the AFC West, and Rivers probably has been the league’s best and most consistent performer so far. He has completed 69.3 percent of his passes. He has 15 touchdown passes and only two interceptions. He has an NFL-best passer rating of 117.6. Rivers’s passer rating has been above 120 in five straight games, a first in league history.
3. J.J. Watt – DE – Houston Texans
Let’s face it, defensive players are usually not on this type of list, but this guy is a beast. He has scored 3 touchdowns, he has numerous sacks, he leads the NFL since entering in batted passes, and the guy has a motor that doesn’t stop. At the end of the day, this guy is real. He deserves an award.
4. Andrew Luck – QB – Indianapolis Colts
Andrew Luck leads the league in passing yards and touchdown passes, and he has the Colts in first place in the AFC South at 4-2, riding a four-game winning streak. His passer rating went from 76.5 as a rookie in 2012 to 87.0 last season; now it’s 99.6.
