Former Fordham Punter/Kicker Patrick Murray had a workout with the Bucs yesterday
Patrick Murray was the best punter/kicker in college football last year when you look at statistics, and after a short stint with the New York Jets earlier this year, Patrick was just waiting for a phone call. Well Patrick heard the call from the Tampa Bay Bucs and had a tryout with them yesterday.
Several other punters/kickers were there but Patrick left the crowd of scouts impressed and wanting more.
A source from the organization said it was the best performance he has seen in a while when it came to kicking off, punting and field goals. Murray has a very strong leg and was a monster for Fordham last season. Once word get’s out Murray will land on a roster or practice squad.
