Why is it fine to talk about Michael Sam, but Tim Tebow received backlash?

Tim Tebow was one of the most loved players to ever player in both college football and the NFL, but his time in the league did not last. Maybe it was because of his bad mechanics as a quarterback, but he received more criticism than any player ever because of the media attention he received.  My big question today is how will the NFL handle Michael Sam, the newest ICON in sports?

Michael Sam was named the SEC defensive player of the year this year for a great performance on the field, kind of like Tim Tebow who was named the Heisman Trophy winner.  Tim Tebow had received tons of media attention because he was not afraid to talk about Jesus Christ his LORD and savior.  He was once the media ICON that was sent packing out of the NFL because of his play as well as his media attention.

I talked to an NFL scout that told me he loved Tim Tebow’s heart, but said he would not bring him in for a workout because the media would be so bad it could cause a distraction in the locker room.

Well my question is How will Michael Sam’s case differ?

When Michael Sam is drafted, he will automatically become the one pick media will want to interview, even over the first round pick.  People were stressed out about Tim Tebow, and the media circus that came with him, including the fans.

I would like to believe that Michael Sam will receive the same type of backlash as Tim Tebow did, but because this is not a perfect world, expect the person that is following in the right steps to be treated as the Evil person, when the person doing evil ends up being loved. It is in black in white in the Bible under Isaiah verse 5 chapter 20.

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! – Isaiah 5:20

It’s coming soon…..
