Brown University because of the strong academics.

What were your goals for your senior year?

Win an Ivy League championship.

At your position, what separates you from the others?

Reliability in consistently catching the ball and fulfilling blocking assignments. Size.

Tell us what you look for when breaking down film? 

Location of LB S CB in identifying specific coverages.

Top coverages, top blitzes.

Pre-snap tendencies giving away a roll/adjustment in coverage or blitz.

Individual tendencies, specifically footwork, in man coverage.

Hand or sideline signals indicating a specific blitz or coverage.

Individual strengths/weaknesses as well as strengths/weaknesses of the entire defense.

Which offensive plays/schemes were used effectively.

Play calls based on D&D.

Who was the toughest player you have ever faced?

Dion lewis when he played for Blair Academy before going to Pitt.

If you could compare your play to one person in the NFL who would it be?

Alshon Jeffrey

 

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

Sidelining injury. I overcame this obstacle through focusing on what I could do in the present to benefit my future instead of dwelling on the past and the opportunity lost.

What system fits your style of play the best?

A pro-style system–balanced pass/run. This system best fits my style of play due to my effectiveness in both run and pass situations.

What is your biggest strength?

My hands.

What is your biggest weakness?

Suddenness.

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

A second? “Watch my film.” If I had 10 seconds…”Given an opportunity, I will be a successful player and contributing member of your offense because the consistency in which I get the job done. I may not do it in a flashy way, but the sticks will move…week in and week out.”

Ray Allen

Who is/was your favorite team and player in the NFL, and why? 

Chicago Bears–hometown team

Julian Edelman–he relies on his toughness to succeed in the NFL.

What was the most tragic event that ever happened in your life and how did you overcome it?

The passing of my Great Grandfather Morris Kaplan. I overcame his death through the support of family and writing down what he meant to me and speaking at his funeral.

If you were to have dinner with three people dead or alive who would it be?

Muhammad Ali, Leonardo Dicaprio, Leonardo Da Vinci (translator included)

With your first paycheck what would you buy?

Pay my agent back for my combine training/a nice pair of B-Ball shoes for my little brother.
