Derek Carr wants to be a “Raider for Life”, but is upset the #Raiders have not made it happen
Derek Carr the former Fresno State quarterback wants to be an Oakland Raider for life, according to Mike Silver of NFL.com. While there has been “no significant communication” between the Raiders and Carr’s agent over the past several weeks, Carr is getting frustrated.
Carr, does not have a fifth-year team option on his contract because he was a second round pick. He is scheduled to make just $977,519 this upcoming season, and will be a free agent after the year.
Sources told Silver that Carr has become irritated with the slow pace of the contract negotiations, especially after he has publicly voiced his desire to be a “Raider for life” on multiple occasions. The Fresno State gunslinger would like a new deal before the start of training camp.
