DeMaurice Smith was re-elected as executive director of NFLPA
A 14-member selection committee voted today and DeMaurice Smith was elected hands down. A unanimous vote will extend Smith’s contract automatically. If seven of 13 were to approve, the 32-team board of player representatives would have voted on the matter. If two-thirds of them were to approve, they would extend Smith’s contract.
So tonight according to Jim Trotter, DeMaurice Smith was re-elected as the NFLPA executive director when the 14 members voted unanimously.
