Tarver has good play speed with explosive 1st step with initial quickness vs pass and sudden movement and explosion with compact and explosive tackling ability vs the run
– Good play speed allows him to use explosive movements to beat his man rushing the passer
– Good change of direction ability allows him to cut inside and swim vs the pass
– Good athletic ability and speed allow him to cover RB’s 1 on 1 on short to medium range passes and play his zone and make tackles in the open field
– Displays adequate downhill tackling skills and adequate play strength to attack RB’s in the hole. Displays good lateral pursuit and speed to disrupt read option
– Shows Good competitive toughness winning at the point of attack with speed, power, and quickness to beat OL vs pass and to chase down RBs and WRs downfield taking good pursuit angles. Shows determination with great effort to disrupt offenses
