Buffalo cut ties with Matt Flynn, to sign H-Back Evan Rodriguez

Evan Rodriguez came out of the University of Temple a few years back. He was their starting tight end, and was used quite a bit as a fullback for the Owls.  He was a very solid pass catching tight end/full back.  In the NFL he was used as an H-Back, and was drafted by the Chicago Bears.  After a few run ins with the law Evan was released.  He was claimed by the Miami Dolphins and played their on their roster earlier this year.  Well today the Buffalo Bills signed the H-Back/Tight End.  He is a much better pass catching tight end than what the Bills have on their roster.

When he came out of college many compared him to Aaron Hernandez.  I don’t know if they thought that because he was Latino, but he is a very similar type of player.  He doesn’t have as much range as Hernandez did, but he is less of a headache. To make room for him on the 53 man roster, the Bills released Matt Flynn.

That is great news for the Buffalo Bills fans, because it means EJ Manuel is about as healthy as he is going to get.
