What is your name? 

Ronald “Bernard” Dawson

What is your Height/Weight? 

6’1.5 and 235 pounds

What is your position? 

LB/OLB

Where do you play college football? 

I play football for Georgia Southern University

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field? 

The coolest thing I have done off the field was hand deliver special flowers on Valentines day to unsuspecting women young and old around the Statesboro community.

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Hardest college class I have ever taken was Discrete Mathematics.

Where are you from? 

I’m from Thomson Georgia.

Who is your role model, and why? 

My role model is Barrack Obama, I admire his leadership skills. Particularly his deep poise in the midst of crisis. It takes a great deal of patience and understanding to lead a nation.

Did you play any other sports growing up? 

I never played any other sports growing up.

Did you play any other positions in football? 

At some point in my career I have played just about all the other positions.

At your position, what separates you from others? 

At my position what sets me apart from others is my explosion and athletic ability to bend.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

When I break down film I look at stance and alignment. Mostly of the Tackles and Guards. They can give off keys to the snap count, give away run/pass, etc.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced? 

Toughest player I ever faced was Brendan Douglas

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why? 

Von Miller. We love the spin move

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it? 

Biggest thing I had to overcome in life was my parents divorce and battle of custody rights of me. I overcame this over time by just growing up and becoming a young man through the many lessons i’ve learned in life from football. I also accepted the fact that my parents both loved me unconditionally and were willing to legally fight for me for as long as it took. I thank God for blessing me with my parents.

Do you have any pre-game rituals? 

My pregame ritual is to be listen to good music and dance. I’m always dancing. Preferably to a Migos song.

What is your biggest strength? 

My biggest strength is my quick twitch.

What is your biggest weakness? 

My biggest weakness is my strength (Power)

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say? 

I’m a guy that is going to buy into the process and sell out and reap the benefits of it. Only place success comes before work is inside the dictionary.

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up? 

My favorite player was Michael Vick and my favorite team growing up was the Texans.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose? 

Barrack Obama

Martin Luther King Jr.

What will be the first big item you buy once you are in the NFL?

First thing I’m buying in the NFL is my very own Normatech.
