My Grandfather, he started from nothing grew up during the Depression and became an extremely successful individual.

Wrestling, Track and Field

Matt Fitzpatrick

What is the one song that would fire you up before the biggest game of your life?

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

James Develin, his toughness and relentless play.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

Not winning a game in High School until my senior season snapping a 45 game losing streak. My class came together as a whole and ended up with the best season record in a decade.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

Nothing specific, I always listen to the same playlist pre-game though

What was the most memorable play of your collegiate career?

Strip sack on senior night against CCSU.

What is the coolest thing you ever did off the field for someone else?

In High School we had a manager for our football team that was special needs, he would come to every practice, game, team function and always have the brightest attitude possible. On senior night we had him walk out with us for the Coin Toss. When I signed to Duquesne I gave him the hat I committed in and had him with me when I gave my speech. It was awesome to reward him for all of his hard work and dedication to the program.

Cincinnatti Bengals

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

Teddy Roosevelt, Brett Favre, and Tom Hanks
