Aldon Smith says he will be reinstated soon by the NFL
Aldon Smith used social media Saturday to reveal an allegedly upcoming reinstatement into the NFL. Several of our twitter followers noted the announcement by Smith on Instagram Live, which means nothing until NFL commissioner Roger Goodell actually and officially allows the Raiders linebacker re-entrance.
Oakland Raiders linebacker Aldon Smith has been banished by the NFL since November of 2015 due to multiple violations of the league’s substance-abuse policy. He became eligible for reinstatement last November and was expected to be reinstated in March, but multiple off-the-field incidents have apparently delayed the NFL’s decision.
If the Raiders can land Aldon Smith back and he can stay out of trouble watch out. The Raiders already look like a Super Bowl contender on paper. I would love to see them get their shot, especially before leaving Oak-Town.
