5 NFL Players that could be traded by Saturday
Christian Ponder – Let’s face it, Ponder needs to be on another team. The Vikings are not going to spend first round money to keep a guy on their roster as a 3rd stringer. I cannot see that happening. I think Christian Ponder is traded to the Buffalo Bills for a 7th round draft pick. The Bills need a back-up and Ponder will compete with E.J. and Jordan Palmer. Bye Bye Jeff Tuel?
Alex Boone – The San Francisco 49ers are still playing the wait and see game with Alex Boone, and while they are asking a ton of money for him, the team cannot keep him holding out. It sounds like the Niners are not willing to give him the money he wants. I could see a team like Tampa Bay giving up a 5th and really solidifying their offensive line. Could you imagine, Boone and Mankins with Evan Dietrich Smith? WOW
Ryan Mallett – I expect Ryan Mallett to be a Houston Texan by Saturday. I think the Texans will give up a conditional pick from next year, and have Mallett compete with Tom Savage and Ryan Fitzpatrick. The Texans could just wait for him to be released and sign him because they have the first waiver claim, but I see them jumping the gun.
Michael Roos – The Tennessee Titans have too many offensive lineman, and let’s face it Roos is a stud. The Titans will trade Roos for a late round pick, and someone will get a steal. I can see a team that is contending like the Patriots trading for him. Roos could be a huge steal for the Patriots, and he would become an immediate starter.
Dion Jordan – The former first round pick has been bad since being drafted, but one guy that feels he could use Jordan is Chip Kelly. I feel the Eagles/Dolphins will finally be able to work out a trade. I think the Eagles finally land their skinny defensive end.
