What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

What made me decide I wanted to be a football player was really my peers, When I was around 7 I was driving by with my mom when I saw some of my friends outside practicing, so from there I asked my mom to play and she decided to let me so from there I just kept going.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

What I’m looking to achieve as a football player is continue to strive physically and mentally to be the best I can. Knowing what I’ve been through to even get to this point makes me even hungrier so ultimately I want to make it to a 53 man roster.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

I would definitely want to pick Derwin James brain a little bit just to understand the game at the next level, He can play high and get sideline to sideline but he is also excellent with being a down safety and getting it done in the trenches he can play anywhere on the field so getting a few tips from him would help my game.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

I would say my first time getting hit hard when I was 7, had my mom so worried she almost made me quit. But its one of those moments that made me want to play the sport even more. As far as college I would say the brotherhood I was blessed to be apart of the last couple years I spent at Rhode Island it taught me how to be a teammate the right way.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My mom, given our circumstances and how she was able to love and care for my siblings and herself for so long just motivates me. Never seeing her quit and continuing to do her best for us every single day just makes you want to go hard.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

My favorite defensive scheme would be a 3-3-5, it gives you a chance to have 5 DBs on the field and potentially 6 depending on how much of a hybrid the 3rd linebacker is so a bunch of different sim pressures can be can ran, man coverages and zones can be efficient with the athleticism on the field.

What should we know about O’Neil (Buzz) Robinson?

He’s resilient, no soft bone in his body and will keep fighting till he can’t anymore. He only fears God and has been through it all and it’s nothing to keep jumping over obstacles.

What stands out about your film the most?

My length and range definitely stands out but so does my aggressiveness when it comes to being in the box.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

Just pray and let God handle it, everyone has to overcome some sort of challenges in their life and how they react and respond to it can determine factors in their life.

What would a team get in a player like you?

Someone who is unselfish, willing to do what others aren’t when it comes to being a teammate. Also a dog when that time comes and someone who knows their role and is fearless.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

The grind, the dedication it takes to maintain this lifestyle is unmatched and only a select few are able to keep it going.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

I wouldn’t call them underrated but Tone Carter, Ed Lee, Jordan Jones, Henry Yianakopolos bunch of hungry dogs & great teammates, we all learn a lot from each other outside of football. We build off each other’s character.
