What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I always felt like football chose me. I’ve been playing since I was 5 years old and I always loved the game. I remember when I was 4 years old I wasn’t old enough to join a football league. I was at my older brothers flag football game, I remember I kept trying to run out there to play and my mother had to stop me.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

My favorite moments of my football life is winning games especially with my brothers by my side (teammates). The one moment that stands out to me the most is the 2019 Celebration bowl. That was an amazing experience, one I will never forget.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

I plan to achieve playing at the highest level of the game. I’m looking to be the best player and teammate I can be on and off the field. I plan to bring my game to it’s fullest potential. I also plan to return to my home town and work with and mentor young players and let them know with hard work they can achieve anything. I want to be a player that gives hope to kids and help them realize that they can achieve anything if they believe in themselves.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

If I had the opportunity to hang out with any football player past or present it would have to be Brian Dawkins. I just love the way he plays the game and the energy/ excitement he brings. He’s a great motivator and vocal leader. I would pick his brain and solicit any advice he could give me.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

The family member that inspired me the most is my mother. The way she was able to raise two men on her own and push through every obstacle that came her was truly remarkable to me. She did everything to make sure me and my brother had everything we needed even if she had to go without. She taught me how to be resilient and push through the hardest of times. She is my true inspiration.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

My favorite defensive scheme has to be a 4-2-5. I played it at prep-school and college and I grew to fall in love with it. You can play man with one high and multiple coverages from cover 3 to 4. It also enables you to send multiple pressures. I love the fact that you can disguise your coverage to confuse the quarterback and make a play.

What should we know about Joseph Stuckey the person?

Joseph Stuckey is a God fearing man that is big on family. He also loves to give back and help others as much as he can. He is one of the humblest people you will meet. My mother likes to refer to me as the gentle giant.

What stands out about your film the most?

The things that stands out most about my film is the way I hustle which enables me to make plays inside and outside the box. It also highlights my ability to shed blocks. As you can see through the progression of the years how my football IQ continues to grow which enables me to see a play developing and allows me to disrupt it.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

Everyone faces challenges at some point in their lives but it’s all about how you handle it and overcome it. I like to think you can grow from any situation. I like to treat every issue I’ve dealt with in my life as a learning experience. Even if my team is down by a touchdown I like to encourage my teammates and try to keep them positive. I like to stay positive and try to see the bigger picture.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A team will get a coachable, hardworking player. I will give 100% to help my team win on and off the field. I would be a versatile player that can play all special teams. I am also a great vocal leader and a motivator.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

The most underrated player I played with is Jermaine McDaniel, he is one of the best pass rushers I’ve played with besides Darryl Johnson. He has a never give up attitude and loves to pursue the quarterback because he understands the importance of stopping a play before it unfolds.
