What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I grew up around it, my entire family are football fans watching Michigan, the Detroit Lions and its something I wanted to do and the thrill of being out there on the football field and being around guys multiple different sizes there’s a spot for everyone on the football field.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

When I announced my commitment to play college football and I announced I was going to play at Hillsdale College. My senior year at Hillsdale we beat our rival University of Findlay. Lastly my senior year at Hillsdale when I was named 2nd team All American and to get that recognition was special.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

My dream of mine is really to play football until I can’t anymore, the platform that football has done alot for me and I want to pay that forward and it would be a big deal for me to show younger people that whatever you put your mind to that you can do it and they can do what they want to.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Aaron Donald, because I believe that he is the greatest player of all time and I would love to pick his brain and he is a good person to people.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My dad, when I got into college our relationship has grown and he’s the oldest of his siblings and when my grandfather passed away now he’s kind of the patriarch of the family and to see how he conducts himself is inspiring and I’ve grown wiser too from him.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

4-2-5 defense, I like that it allows your defensive line to play free and fast, linebackers are fast flowing and you have 2 safety hybrids and 3 defensive backs back and it allows you to wreak havoc as a defensive lineman.

What should we know about Nate Chambers the person?

First I love Jesus and second that I approach this game with a tenacity and desperation to be really, really good at it.

What stands out about your film the most?

Versatility and effort, when I grad transferred to Murray State I played a new position and adjusted and helped the team the best I could.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I rely on my faith and I rely on people I know close to me who are able to share their bits of wisdom and apply that to challenges and try to take it one day at a time.

What would a team get in a player like you?

Someone who is willing to do what is best for the team.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

That it has given alot of people an avenue to be great in life, the lessons learned through adversity and hard work and the brotherhood.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Eric Samuta, he was a walk on here at Murray State and eventually earned a scholarship, not the biggest guy but has a high football IQ, good work ethic and good guy too.
