What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I did not decide to be a football player, football chose me the day I was born. Ever since I was a kid, I have lived and breathed the game of football.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

Throughout my football life, my favorite moments would be attributed to seeing the working I put in during my personal time transition well into live game reps.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

As a football player going forward I would like the achieve the highest grades possible at any offensive lineman position and also to earn a gold jacket to which ever ball club that would think Im a great fit.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

If I could hang out with any football player past or present for a day, it would be my younger self during my high school day. I would tell him to always be yourself and to never give up, the sky is the limit.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

All of my family members inspire me, but If I had to choose just one then it would be my brother Ced. He’s always there when it counts the most.

What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?

My favorite offensive scheme would be the multiple zone run scheme because I love to double team and climb to linebackers to destroy them.

What should we know about Cortez Herrin the person?

Cortez Herrin is a simple guy who loves his family and football, who based his life on morals and principles.

What stands out about your film the most?

My tenacity and outright wittiness. I think my body frame is also what peak human performance looks like because I’m an offensive lineman.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I take a similar approach with the challenges both in life and on the football field by just going to the next play. As the biggest critic of my own craft I pride myself on how I respond to adversity. I have concluded that I always can learn mistakes but the key is to not let the same mistakes happen over again.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A few of my college coaches have told me I’m like a #1 from McDonalds, no matter the element, I’m always going to produce the same results. I stay fired up and ready to ball, ready to learn, and ready to score touchdowns.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

I love the feeling I get putting on pads and strapping up the cleats and hitting people in the mouth. Everyday I get a chance to do that, is another blessing I’m thankful to receive.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Darrius Pinnix, he is an absolute animal on the field.
