Player Summary:
A four-year letterman WR playing the 2022 season as a fifth-year graduate. Suffered a torn ACL in the first game of the MIUN 2021 season and was out for the rest of the season. Plays in a multiple-set offense and primarily plays in the X or Z position, secondarily playing the F spot. Shows the ability to be a threat and the go-to WR in MIUN’s quick/short pass game offense. Not a statuesque WR, is below the average height of an NFL WR. Makes up for it with athleticism significantly when the body is torqued vertically or horizontally attempting to haul in a pass. His stem can be inconsistent, the play could be detected as a pass or run. When climbing routes his stem is average. His route-running technique is average, not a precise route runner stopping on a dime breaking into a route. Rounds off routes getting to designated areas which he does successfully. Does not show elite speed, uses above-average speed and field awareness to slip past the defender in the open field specifically when the secondary is in zone coverage. Plays an aggressive style of WR when the ball is in the catching area and shows the ability to fight for the possession of the catch. Possesses solid pass catching capabilities, catches ball away from body, secures and tucks it in. Limited when fighting for YAC, stabilizes possession of the ball with good awareness of feet in field play. In the run game, his stalk blocking technique is average and does not accelerate off the ball when approaching defenders to block and uses shoulder width base stance with forward stagger steps to secure the block. Added with latched arms and good placement of hands onto defenders makes the block effective. Can be more physical at the initial POC of the block, while keeping feet moving, which he does consistently. Has a competitive nature quality, willingly blocks and runs dummy routes for the good of the offense and team. Has the ability to sacrifice his body for possession of the ball from an errant pass. He is the leader of the MIUN WR group.
Scheme Fit:
Pro Set/Spread/Motion Offense/RPO
Power Statement:
Has the ability to play at the next level as a possession type WR, as a below average size X, Z, or F. Can be a productive WR in an offense that accentuates his style of play at the next level. Coming off an ACL tear a year previously, he needs to improve physical body strength especially in the lower body for durability of a long, physical professional football season. Displays quality production with an upside for improvement of stemming, route running, and play side blocking. Has technical sound WR qualities.
