What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

Just my passion and love for the game.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

Winning first conference championship this past weekend.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

I would say Trent Williams because I feel that I could learn a lot from him.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

My goals going forward are to win the national championship and then getting prepared for pro day.

What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?

I bring positivity to the field. No matter the opponent or situations I keep myself and my teammates spirits high. I am always willing to listen whenever they need to vent.

What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?

My favorite offensive scheme would be the wide zone scheme and I feel that this type of scheme fits my game and style of play.

What should we know about Javion Caldwell the person?

I am a very positive, benevolent, loyal, steadfast, kindhearted, honest, trustworthy, humble and chill person. I am a gentle giant off the field. I have been blessed all my life so I love to give back and pay it forward.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My daughter Jalia is my inspiration she is my why. Jalia gives me the drive everyday to be the best I can be at every aspect of my life.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I talk them out with people who understand. Example: In life I would talk to my family or friends. With football I would go to a coach or player I’m closer with. I take in advice and take the steps needed to over come them.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A team could get a player who has skilled feet work, strength, and speed. I am dedicated to perfecting my craft and feel I am easy to coach.

What are your favorite things about playing football for Grand View?

I just really love the winning culture they have here. Also the coaching staff and players are like family here.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Jeremy West, I played with him at Dubuque he’s a machine overlooked because of size but he’s very physical, good hands and he dominates every play.
