Charles Barkley makes a strong statement in favor of Auburn hiring Deion Sanders as their next head coach
Charles Barkley is a proud Auburn Alum, and he is a pretty vocal guy. Well, he was asked about the Deion Sanders rumors of possibly becoming the new head coach at Auburn and Charles Barkley gave Deion a pretty amazing endorsement.
“I personally want Deion Sanders, because number one, he is going to recruit like hell … Deion is going to win wherever he goes … Deion wants to make men men. That’s what I want from a coach, but also … his personality is that he is going to recruit and he won’t be afraid of Coach (Nick) Saban, because you have to have some star power to go against Coach Saban,” Barkley explained on “The Next Round,” according to USA Today.
Barkley continued to say Sanders has that “It factor” and would turn the Auburn Tigers around. Deion is one of the best recruiters in the country, because he has Swag. I would love to see him at Auburn, could you imagine how many five star recruits would go to Auburn to play for Deion?
The question would be could he get the coaches to turn them into winners? He has done a terrific job at Jackson State, but it would be cool to see.
