Concussion Doctor Bennet Omalu tells Tua Tagovailoa to walk away from football
Should Tua Tagovailoa walk away from football?
Bennet Omalu the famous doctor from the movie concussion told TMZ Sports that Tua Tagovailoa needs to walk away from the NFL, now because his health and well-being is worth more than his contract.
“If you love your life,” Omalu said in a message to the Miami star, “if you love your family, you love your kids — if you have kids — it’s time to gallantly walk away. Go find something else to do.”
I think we as fans sometimes want our team to obviously win more than we care about the players safety. Tua Tagovailoa obviously suffered a severe concussion when his head hit off the ground against the Buffalo Bills.
While the Miami Dolphins doctors and others do not want to agree, it is ultimately hurting the player and his future family.
Doctor Omalu was pleading with Tua to stop, he says:
“Tua, my brother. I love you,” Omalu said. “I love you as much as I love my son. Stop playing. Stop. Hang your helmet and gallantly walk away.”
What do you think? Is that too much? Or should the Dolphins QB consider an early exit from the NFL?
