High School Sweethearts killed in car accident | Star football player and his girlfriend both killed by 18-wheeler
Austin Moffitt was a star football player and linebacker from Tennessee. He had been dating Alexis McCann since high school and the two were in a Jeep Patriot when they failed to stop at an intersection. That is when an 18-wheeler driven by 62-year-old Jeffrey Miller from Alabama T-Boned the vehicle killing both of the high school sweethearts.
The collision happened at the intersection of Highway 28 and John Burch Road around 20 miles north of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Both Moffit and McCann were wearing seatbelts according to a Tennessee Highway Patrol report.
The accident happened around 10:30 pm on Thursday of last week.
Moffitt and McCann both attended Sequatchie County High School and graduated in May.
Please keep the family and friends in your prayers during this tough time.
