PITTMAN’S POCKET: Breaking Down the HBCU Football Week 4 matchups

FAMU Xavier Smith is continuing to make is claim to NFL teams. In 3 games he already has 22 receptions.

We’re still in the beginning of the season, in the SWAC and MEAC, but there are some great HBCU football matchups this weekend. You have Grambling State heading down to Daytona, Florida to play Bethune Cookman.

In Tallahassee, you have a good matchup with FAMU playing against winless Alabama A&M. Which should be an interesting game with FAMU 1-2 & AAMU 0-3. Can the Bulldogs finally find their permanent play caller at Quarterback and can FAMU continue to turn things around with their highly talented offense. Who will make the turn in the right direction or who will tread backwards.

The battle of Mississippi is at JSU this weekend, where Jackson State has their eyes on Mississippi Valley State and Coach Dancy. Jackson State previously learned last year to not take MVSU lightly. This year the Tigers have been dominating their opponents, in the past two games scoring over 55 points.
