Jeremiah Brogden was walking out of Mergenthaler Vocational-Technical High School also known as Mervo High School when he was shot and killed.

A 17-year-old has been formally charged with 1st degree murder and is being held without bail at a Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services facility.

The police report says Brogden was walking out of school with tons of other kids when shots rang out. Police said the student from a different Baltimore school approached Brogden during dismissal and shot him, after an argument.

Brogden was shot multiple times. Brogden was rushed to a local hospital but would die from his wounds. The police officer at the school would catch the 17-year-old who shot Jeremiah.

They found a weapon nearby as well.

The Police commissioner said even though they made an arrest it does not mean this is over. Anyone who knows what the conflict was about or how it started should call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7-Lockup.
