Texas incoming Freshman football player Rahsaan Jefferson was shot and killed

Rahsaan Jefferson was a talented and popular student athlete during his years at Foster Middle School in Texas. He was expected to attend Longview High School this year as a freshman.

Unfortunately, officers found Jefferson a victim who had been shot,” according to police. Before police got to the scene, the victim was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The school district released this statement:

“Longview Independent School District is shocked and saddened to learn about the tragic death of incoming Longview High School freshman Rahsaan ‘Bobo’ Jefferson,” said the school district.

Jefferson was an incoming freshman football player at Longview High School that was killed Monday night in a shooting at an apartment complex in the Texas.

The principal of Longview released this statement:

“To lose any member of our Lobo family hurts, but especially one so young,” Longview High School Principal James Brewer said in the statement. “Crisis counselors and campus administrators will be on hand for any students and staff who need assistance.”
